Yesterday, Indiewire’s Peter Knegt had the opportunity to speak to the team behind the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival entry “Gabriel” at the Apple store in SoHo. The conversation was part of the “Meet the Filmmaker” series.
For the Apple Store chat, Knegt sat down with Culkin, Howe, and producers Ben Howe and Luca Borghese. They went around the room and each spoke about a challenge the faced while filming. Culkin, who responded last, said, “The challenge for me came afterwards because playing Gabriel I became incredibly sensitive.”
Knegt also asked the team if they had any advice they could give to first-timers.
“I think the most important thing for me was working with people who weren’t afraid to tell me when I had a terrible idea,” Borghese. “And I wasn’t afraid to tell them when they had a terrible idea,”
