Watch: Justin Theroux Says the Departed are the 'Lucky' Ones in New Trailer for Damon Lindelof's 'The Leftovers'

While Martin Scorcese’s Oscar-winning film “The Departed” dealt with many issues related to the dearly departed, I don’t think they ever described them as the “lucky” departed. Not so for Damon Lindelof’s new HBO series, “The Leftovers,” starring Justin Theroux as one of the many citizens of Earth left behind after the Rapture. “To depart is different than anyone supposed,” Theroux says in voiceover. “And luckier.”

Granted, the new show from writer/executive producer Damon Lindelof (“Lost”) is dealing with slightly different circumstances than Matt Damon & Co., but as they say in Bean Town, “Whose cah we takin’ to the funahal?” (or something like that). The new nearly-minute long spot comes after news of the show going on a two week hiatus. With six episodes already in the can, the delay won’t alter “The Leftovers'” premiere date (HBO’s not giving up the plum placemet post-“Game of Thrones” finale).

Take a look at the new spot below, and tell us if your heart starts racing for Lindelof’s second disappearing act. “The Leftovers” premieres June 15th at 10pm.
