The reviews are out for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and they are mixed, to say the least (though our Oli Lyttelton really didn’t like it), but Sony isn’t giving up pushing this hard, and why should they? No matter what the critics say, the sequel is already tracking for a massive $95 million opening weekend, and the studio will do everything it can to make that number bigger.
And so, last night they used the MTV Movie Awards for another promo opportunity, unveiling yet another clip from the movie, from the Times Square setpiece of the flick (you can see another one here). Jamie Foxx‘s Electro and Andrew Garfield‘s webslinger have a showdown in the scene. And that’s not all, as two more TV spots have dropped for the flick, providing even more moments from the movie, as marketing types hope you’re eager to check out what Marc Webb and co. have cooked up for this outing, with the franchise freed from the origin story.
