There are few movies this summer that can instill intrigue just with a single sound, but “Godzilla” sure can. The big budget leap from “Monsters” director Gareth Edwards arrives on the big screen next month, and he’s been front and center of the campaign so far, sharing his enthusiasm and his pedigree with newcomers to the franchise.
In this latest featurette Edwards shares his humble beginning, learning special effects on a laptop before creating his remarkably low budget “Monsters.” But as anyone who saw the movie knows, nothing looked cheap about it. Moving on to “Godzilla,” Edwards reveals he’s now working with the best team in the game, and this latest TV spot highlights some of their work.
