In its latest of what seem to be countless transactions at the Cannes Film Festival, Studiocanal has sold another film, this time Shout! Factory picked up “The House of Magic.” “All our films are selling well,” said Studiocanal sales head Anna Marsh in what has been the understatement of the festival, as Studiocanal works through its 16-film sales list.
Shout! Factory acquired from Studiocanal the distribution rights to “The House of Magic” for the United States. This animated family feature will be theatrically shown in 3D, and tells the story of animals living with a magician. It was directed by Ben Stassen and Jeremie Degruson, and produced by Stassen’s nWave Studios.
The film has already been released in several locations around the globe, but no date has yet been set for a U.S. release.
