Updated Event Cinema/Alternative Content Summer Titles

So you think your local multiplex is just for movies?  Think again as more theatres are bringing one-off events to movie houses on weeknights and weekend afternoons, including The Met Opera, West End plays, even Drum Corps competitions. The program has really caught fire in Europe, especially in countries such as the U.K., but most Americans have been slow to head to the theatre for anything other than “Godzilla” or “X-Men”.  The Met has been the one reliable source of Event Cinema programming but more and more a wide range of events are being offered for moviegoers.  Here’s a list of Alternative Content events for the next few months…
