Joon-ho, known for films like “Mother” and “The Host” (one of the best monster films in the past decade), treats us with his latest thriller, the post-apocalyptic “Snowpiercer.” The film, which also marks the Korean director’s first time working in English, follows the last survivors on Earth who inhabit a never-stopping train. Still, trouble arises when the people in the back of the train, those deemed lower class, try to rebel against the front passengers. Chris Evans stars as the leader of the revolt.
“Snowpiercer” will be released nationwide on June 27. Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ed Harris and John Hurt costar.
