Watch: Jennifer Aniston is Not a Damsel in Distress in Trailer for 'Life of Crime'

We desperately want Jennifer Aniston to kill it in something, and “Life of Crime,” an upcoming comedy from Daniel Schechter, may just be exactly what she needs.

Based on the novel “The Switch” by Elmore Leonard, “Life of Crime” follows a group of criminals, led by the always wonderful John Hawkes, who kidnap the wife (Aniston) of a wealthy businessman. The problem? He doesn’t want to pay the ransom to get her back and prefers to spend his days with his mistress, played by Isla Fisher, instead.

“Life of Crime” premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and will be released in theaters August 29th.
