Watch: New Trailer For Eli Roth's Amazonian Horror 'The Green Inferno'

With most horror films these days finding creepy and scary happenings in the most innocent and regular of settings—usually at home—Eli Roth wants to take audiences on a trip with his next effort, “The Green Inferno.” In fact, he wants to drop horror fans right into the middle of the jungle and watch what happens when a group of young people get in way over their head.

The cast may not be the most well known—Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara and Kirby Bliss Blanton feature—but the concept is a good one, following a bunch of New York City students with good intentions who travel to the Amazon to try to help a dying native tribe. But when they get taken hostage, well, the let’s just say they’ll need more than their passports to get out of the situation.

“The Green Inferno” opens on September 5th. Watch below.

I am from Peru and this movie bothers me a lot. In these times, similar to cannibal holocaust movies are stupid and create controversy. Eli Roth has shown me that knows little of my country. In addition, outside of art and terror that wants to recreate, leaves much to be desired :/

I do not understand the Eli Roth hate. All of his movies with him as a director are modern horror masterpieces. Hostel and Cabin Fever are phenomenal and far superior most modern horror. I expect the Green Inferno to be no different

They could've gone with a better tagline than "No good deed goes unpunished." I'm immediately going to WICKED.

Can't wait but I feel I can only be let down at this point… They are building hype but all on Roth's name… seems fishy.

The poster reminds me of Pasolini's Salo.

pure shit from the mind of eli roth!

Ummm…. it's not found footage
