Beatles Classic ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ Getting Nationwide Anniversary Release

Beatles Classic 'A Hard Day's Night' Getting Nationwide Anniversary Release

Lovers of all things British and musical unite! Pop culture phenomenon “A Hard Day’s Night” opens nationwide this July 4th in a 50th Anniversary re-release.

The film, starring The Beatles as wily, exuberant versions of themselves, has been digitally restored by the Criterion Collection, who were able to scan the 35mm original camera negative (plus some missing footage from two original interpositives) in 4K resolution on a Scanity film scanner without any generational loss.

The final result was approved by director Richard Lester and will screen in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.75:1. A new 5.1 sound mix was also approved by sound producer Giles Martin.

This exuberant classic will screen in Los Angeles at The Cinefamily, Friday July 4th – Thursday July 10th. For more information about screenings going to Janus Films’ website.

And if it were distributed at 1/4 the cost, they could sell it to 4X the people! Even better, cut it back to 1/10 the inflated price and distribute it to 10X the numebr of people!
