IFC Films has acquired U.S. rights to distribute Victor Levin’s romantic dramedy “5 to 7,” starring Anton Yelchin, Olivia Thirlby and Glenn Close. The film world-premiered earlier this year at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. It centers on the drama that unfolds once an aspiring novelist (Yelchin) engages in an affair with the beautiful wife of a French diplomat.
“Victor Levin makes
a formidable debut as a feature director and draws out impeccable
performances from his entire cast in this film,” says Jonathan Sehring,
President of Sundance Selects/IFC Films.
“5 to 7” marks Levin’s filmmaking debut. He’s been writing for film and television since 1990. Credits include “Mad Men,” “Mad About You” and “The Larry Sanders Show.”
No release date has been announced as of yet.
