The surreal and moody drama takes place in a rather deserted Iranian town where its residents are being watched by a lonely vampire. Considering its blending of genres — western and horror — its different landscapes and its critical success at Sundance, we are glad “A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night” will be getting some sort of U.S. release.
“This stunning and stinging cinematic marvel left us speechless at its premiere,” wrote founder Richard Lorber. “We dream of finding visionary films that peel away the gauze, as Ana Lily does with rare originality in this unprecedented work. When we unleash her fang bearing ‘Girl’ on cinema screens across North America, audiences will see as never before how the undead truly come alive.”
