Watch: Bask in the Spooky Silence of 'Borgman' in This Five Minute Opening Scene From the Thriller

The opening five-minutes of “Borgman,” the acclaimed Dutch thriller that played at Cannes and Toronto last year might be dialogue-free, but it’s haunting as hell and worth the watch.

Directed by Alex van Warmerdam, “Borgman” follows Camiel Borgman, a mysterious drifter who disrupts the lives of an upperclass family. It’s a dark and surreal tale about the pervading evil in a suburban town. The clip doesn’t tell us much (or anything at all really), but it’s an interesting look at what is sure to be a menacing film about an even more menacing character.
“Borgman” is being distributed by Drafthouse Films and will have a limited New York release tomorrow. It will have a larger expansion June 13 and June 20.
