If you have not heard of “Please Like Me” you should immediately find a way to watch it’s first season (as soon as you’re done reading this post, at least). The Australian import — picked up for the US by Pivot — is a half hour comedy-drama based on the autobiographical stand-up of 26-year-old gay Aussie comedian Josh Thomas. Drawing consistent comparisons to “Girls,” “Louie” and “Enlightened” (who doesn’t want to be compared to those amazing shows?) the first season gained a cult following, and the second should be an event as far as we’re concerned.
Now finally we have some footage to aid us in that: Entertainment Weekly has posted the below clip, which shows Josh and company a few years beyond the first season finale. Josh and Tom are roommates again, along with a new character Patrick (who is apparently going to be a love interest for Josh), and most importantly: Mae and Josh’s Dad have had a baby!
Watch below and anticipate the August 8th season premiere.
