Frank Stehling has been active in many fields of the film and media business such as scriptwriting, direction, production and funding for at least 30 years. He brings with him over ten years of experience with the German capitol based funding body, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB). During his time with MBB he was deputy director, leading the production department, business development, new media and training initiatives. He was also responsible for the international media conference of the Medienwoche Berlin-Brandenburg.
In 2002, he was a founding member of the Berlinale Talent Campus (today Berlinale Talents), an initiative of the Berlin International Film Festival, and initiated the international Berlin Today Award short film competition as part of the Talent Campus.
In 2005, Frank set up Berlin-based PRIMEHOUSE, a multi-media agency. The umbrella brand combines activities such as the successful international training programmes for producers, directors and writers, PRIME4KIDS&FAMILY and PRIMEXCHANGE; PRIMEJOBS, a job exchange initiative between India and Europe, as well as the sales division, PRIMESALES, acquiring and selling remake rights for Indian territories. PRIMEACCESS was launched in 2014 as a follow-up consutancy linked to the training programmes. PRIMEHOUSE is focused on the early linkage of interactive and classic formats, and represents the connection between film, television and interactive media.
Frank was a member of the European Film Academy, a member of the German Game Association (G.A.M.E) and a member of the internal working group of the European Audiovisual Training Coalition, ATC.
