Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Do Battle In 'Star Wars’ Charity Pledge

The latest “Star Wars” news isn’t about J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Episode VII.” Well, it is, a little.

The new video from Unicef’s Omaz deploys the talents of Comedy Central stars Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart to bring attention to “Star Wars: Force for Change,” a fund-raising campaign that offers you a chance to win your own intergalactic starring role.

Staged as a fake duel between the hosts, this “battle for title of World’s Biggest Star Wars Fan” is a fun way to bring attention to a good cause. Oh, and yes: you can find yourself acting in “Star Wars: Episode VII,” so long as you’re willing to make a donation to Unicef’s cause —the same promoted by Abrams back in May — which can be done with just a couple of clicks. Why buy another Luke Skywalker figure when you might actually share the screen with him?
