Omar Sy Joins Bradley Cooper in Culinary Feature Comedy Adam Jones (Previously-Titled 'Chef')

Frenchman Omar Sy continues to build his Hollywood resume, booking a role alongside Bradley Cooper (who is everywhere it seems these days) in a culinary comedy that was previously-titled "Chef," and is now called "Adam Jones."

Set up at The Weinstein Company, with Derek Cianfrance ("The Place Beyond the Pines") directing, from a script penned by the writer of "Eastern Promises" (Steven Knight), "Adam Jones" will center on a disgraced chef, played by Cooper, who, after losing his highly-rated restaurant in Paris, decides to reassemble his kitchen crew in London, intent on recreating a similarly highly-rated restaurant in that city.

Sy and Cooper will be joined by Emma Thompson, Daniel Bruhl, Alicia Vikander and Lily James in the film’s cast, although no word yet on what role each actor has signed up to play.

Up next for Sy, the actor is reteaming with his "Intouchables" directors – Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano – for a drama titled "Samba," which Sy stars in, alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, Tahar Rahim and Izya Higelin. The dramedy is set to premiere at the 39th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.

He can currently be seen in Michel Gondry’s whimsical Parisian romance "Mood Indigo," which opened in limited release last week.
