TIFF Trailer: Lone Scherfig's 'The Riot Club' With Natalie Dormer, Max Irons, Sam Clafin, Jessica Brown Findlay & More

Lone Scherfig came to international attention thanks to the success of “An Education,” but her followup “One Day,” didn’t catch fire in the same way. Can “The Riot Club” find the director back in firmer footing? We’ll soon find out.

The film is set make its world premiere at TIFF, with a cast of up-and-comers including Natalie Dormer, Max Irons, Sam Clafin, Jessica Brown Findlay and Douglas Booth leading the way. The trailer was released a little while ago, but it missed our news beat, so here it is, along with the official synopsis:

A privileged young man is inducted into the exclusive, debaucherous company of Oxford’s elite “Riot Club,” in this scathing dissection of the British class system.

No U.S. distribution yet, but it opens in the U.K. on September 19th.
