Partially based upon paleontologist Peter Larson’s 2002 book, "Rex Appeal: The Amazing Story of Sue, the Dinosaur That Changed Science, the Law and My Life," Todd Douglas Miller’s documentary, "Dinosaur 13," tells the story of the unexpected discovery of Sue the T-Rex and the legal battle over the fossil that ensued. In this exclusive clip from the film, Larson’s co-author, Kristin Donnan, explains the logic (rather, the lack thereof) informing the various criminal charges leveled against Larson and his colleagues.
"Dinosaur 13" screened at Sundance earlier this year and was picked up for distribution by both Lionsgate and CNN Films. The film opens in theaters, On Demand and Digital HD on August 15th. Watch the full clip below.
