Watch: First 3-Minute, Music Filled Trailer For Xavier Dolan's 'Mommy'

One of the films we named as The Best Of The 2014 Cannes Film Festival, and a picture that’s “vibrant, intoxicating, illuminating,” to say that Xavier Dolan‘s “Mommy” floored us would be an understatement. And while the film is still bafflingly without U.S. distribution, it’s gearing up for release in Canada and the first trailer is here.

Running 3-minutes long, filled with music (you can make a name the tune game out of it), and highlighting the 1:1 aspect ratio. Starring Anne Dorval, Suzanne Clément and Antoine-Olivier Pilon, the film tells the story of a single mother to angry son, who finds a mysterious neighbor coming into their lives.

“Mommy” opens in Quebec on September 19th. Watch below.

It's not baffling. Dolan is extremely difficult on the business end. Every film has gone through different distribution and PR firms.

I'm dying to see 'Tom a la Ferme' and this, but, God, all that music was distracting!
