"Shut Up & Give Me Some Money" - New Trailer for LeBron James-Produced STARZ Series, 'Survivor's Remorse'

STARZ’s upcoming half-hour scripted comedy series “Survivor’s Remorse” from LeBron James, Tom Werner, Mike O’Malley, Maverick Carter and Paul Wachter, is set in the world of professional basketball and follows Cam Calloway, a basketball phenom in his early 20’s who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract with a professional basketball team in Atlanta. Cam, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn, move to Georgia to start Cam’s journey to success. The two confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from. Cam, Reggie and a group of supporting characters wrestle with the rewards and pitfalls of stardom, love and loyalty.
Jessie T. Usher plays Cam Calloway, while Ronreaco Lee is Reggie Vaughn, Erica Ash is M-Chuck, the sister of Cam Calloway, and Tichina Arnold has been cast as Cassie, Cam’s mother. They join Teyonah Parris who was cast as Reggie’s wife Missy.
Mike O’Malley, consulting producer and writer on “Shameless” and Emmy-nominated actor for his role on “Glee,” will serve as executive producer and writer. LeBron James will serve as an executive producer along with Tom Werner.

This will be the second new series with a starring black cast that STARZ greenlit this year – the other being the 50-Cent produced “Power,” which stars Omari Hardwick, currently running.

“Survivor’s Remorse” is set for a 6-episode first season debuting in the fall of 2014.

Looks promising. I will be tuning in.

I can't wait to see this show! I have say, I have been impressed with LeBron James and how he is redefining what a professional sports athlete is supposed to be. Mr. James fired his agent and then started his own company LRMR Marketing and Branding Inc. He then hired his friends that he grew up with! In the words of Mr. James "The guys that I trust", to handle his business deals. He then launched his own animated series called "The LeBrons" on YouTube. Now he has his own live action television show! I can't wait to see it and you sir Mr. James are an inspiration to us all.

Dat luks very promising esp given hw surprising Starz produced POWER. Cant wait 2 it, its gd 2 c dat brutha frm BET's "Lets b 2gthr" spreading his wings but does dat mean dat d BET shw is cancealld?
