“The Great Invisible,” a documentary film about the 2010 oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, won the Grand Jury Prize at South by Southwest (SXSW) earlier this year. Now, Radius has announced they will handle all U.S. distribution for the film.
Although it’s been a couple years since the accident, which took the lives of 11 people, Margaret Brown’s “The Great Invisible” looks at the still-lingering consequences of the spill, particularly the lives of executives, survivors and residents who were present during the incident.
A release date for the film has yet to be announced. Radius has handled distribution for films such as “Bachelorette,” “Only God Forgives” and “Snowpiercer.”
