This Season's Met Offerings Lead New Additions to Event Cinema Release Schedule

You’re a fan of The Met Opera, you say?  Well this is the week every week that you all wait for.  The opera announced its 2014-2015 season this past week and Fathom will broadcast them all live.  The season starts on October 11th with “Macbeth”, continues with “Le Nozze di Figaro” and includes such Met favorites as “Carmen” and “The Barber of Seville”.  Carmike Cinemas’ recently completed acquisition of Bud Mayo’s Digiplex Theatres and Diginext direct-to-consumer release platform, shows how serious major theatre chains are taking Alternative Content.
