Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment and Genesis Rodriguez star in "Tusk," the dark new film from indie auteur Kevin Smith that world-premieres at Toronto this weekend, hits up Fantastic Fest in Austin later in September, and opens in theaters September 19. First clip is below.
The clip is light on humor, but the synopsis of this R-rated horror movie — an American podcaster loses his mind in Canada while chasing an incredible story about an old man and a walrus — smacks of tongue-in-cheek Smith country. The project was greenlit by Smith’s Twitter fans.
He has not directed a theatrical feature since 2011’s also-creepy ideology parable "Red State." More disturbing photos from "Tusk" here.
