Echo Bridge Prepping T.A.S.K. for MIPCOM

St. Petersbrg-based Echo Bridge Pictures is heading for MIPCOM with a TV pilot under their arms. T.A.S.K. is a throwback to the kind of TV cartoon not being made in today’s post-Saturday Morning Cartoon era.

Here’s a sneak peek at a rough cut for the promo.

I asked director Esteban Valdez what he aiming for in the direction for TASK? “I wanted to bring back that amazing feeling I had as a kid when watching saturday morning cartoons like Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Silverhawks, Bionic Six, Macross, and Transformers and also push the level of artwork that we just seem to have lost. I wanted to create something new but had a very familiar/nostalgic feel to it.”

Is TASK a TV series, VOD movie or theatrical? “I know Damion Gonzales, the creator of T.A.S.K will be shopping it at MIPCOM to be a TV series, but I’d love for this to be a feature film,” said Valdez.  “I don’t know. It’s really up to Damion.”
