Universal may have bailed on releasing Joe Carnahan‘s “Stretch” in theaters, but don’t think for one second the director doesn’t believe in his film. With the movie hitting VOD today, you have no reason not to give it a whirl. Why? Because Carnahan says if you don’t like the movie, he’s got you covered.
Anybody who pays for @stretchthemovie and doesn’t dig it, I’ll refund your money personally. That’s how confident I am in the experience.
We like the self-assuredness, though we will say “Stretch” looks like the kind of movie that isn’t for everyone. The wild story follows a limo driver who takes on a well-paying gig driving an unruly client around for one night, all so he can pay off a gambling debt. Patrick Wilson leads the movie, but there are all kinds of faces you’ll recognize, with Ed Helms, Jessica Alba, Brooklyn Decker, Ray Liotta, Norman Reedus, Chris Pine and more all popping up.
