Project of the Day: 'Ten Minutes to the New You'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Ten Minutes to the New You

Tweetable Logline: A successful 60 year-old real estate agent has a one-time 10 minute chance to revisit her past and change the way her life turned out.

Elevator Pitch: This film deals with the affects of a closeted life in the LGBT community: In our story we learn that our main character, Emma, has lived her whole life with a secret that has cost her happiness. At a young age, she was lead to believe that being gay is immoral and against God’s will. She was told that being true to herself would destroy her dreams. But the future is full of hope and acceptance. She gets a one-time ten minute chance to go back and make different choices that can change the way her life turned out.

Production Team:
Bobby Curnutt – Producer/Director/Editor
Richard White – Director/Producer
Margie Kaptanoglu – Writer
David Brower – Director of Photography
Andy Gray – Storyboard Artist

About the film: “Ten Minutes to the New You” contrasts the past and future of intolerance. Having an opportunity to make a film like this in a part of the country that isn’t necessarily known for its tolerance is what excites us the most. The world is changing, and we’re excited to be a part of it.

Current Status: Fundraising.
