Steve Martin Will Receive AFI Life Achievement Award

Funny-man Steve Martin will receive the AFI Life Achievement Award at a gala tribute in Los Angeles on June 4, 2015. The tribute special will air on TNT, followed by encore showings on Turner Classic Movies.

This wonderful evening annually tributes Hollywood’s greatest — in June 2014, the prize went to Jane Fonda, and Mel Brooks the year before. Steve Martin has received an Emmy, four Grammys, a Kennedy Center Honor and an Honorary Oscar throughout his seasoned career as an actor, comedian, author, playwright, screenwriter, producer and musician.

Onscreen, he will next be seen — or heard, rather — in DreamWorks’ animated feature "Home" in Spring 2015.
