Producer Gale Anne Hurd, known for her work on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and James Cameron films “Aliens,” the “Terminator” series and “The Abyss,” will receive the Producers Guild of America’s 2015 David O. Selznick Achievement Award. The prize will be presented to Hurd at the 26th annual Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Los Angeles.
Hurd’s production career launched when she produced and co-wrote Cameron’s box office smash “The Terminator” in 1984. Other feature credits include commercially minded films “Armageddon,” “Hulk” and “The Incredible Hulk,” “Aeon Flux,” “The Punisher” and the Oscar winner “The Ghost and the Darkness.” Her executive-produced “Walking Dead” is among TV’s most-watched scripted dramas.
