Watch: 'Dear White People' Clip Kicks the White Kids Out of the Black Dining Hall

Critics are hailing "Dear White People," which won the 2014 Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent, as a smart, incisive  and funny look at African-American students struggling to fit into a school rife with racial tension.

To see why, check out this clip titled "You Can’t Eat Here," which documents the power struggle between Samantha White (Tessa Thompson), the acid-tongued leader of an all-black residence hall, and self-aggrandizing white magazine editor Troy Fairbanks (Brandon P. Bell). The film will be released by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions on October 17.
