“American Dad” Cannot Be Stopped

"American Dad" Cannot Be Stopped

American
Dad is the underrated underdog of the Seth Macfarlane franchise. Since
moving from FOX to TBS in mid-October the show has really blossomed – and now 22 more episode of the ingeniously witty series have just been ordered.

It
is pretty amazing that it has become one of basic cable’s the top three
entertainment programs for Monday 9pm timeslot with adults 18-34. Not to
mention it averages about 3.1 million viewers weekly.  So we are not surprised TBS wanted another
season.

“We
are thrilled with American Dad!’s performance  to date and are
confident the show is going to continue its tremendous success,”
said Deborah K. Bradley, executive
vice president, head of program acquisitions, content strategy and licensing
for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. “By ordering a new season
while the current season is early in its run, we’re ensuring that Seth
MacFarlane and his team will have the freedom to take the misadventures of the
CIA agent Stan Smith and his family to a whole new level.”

The
series follows the life of CIA Agent Stan Smith, His wife Francine, his
comically crazy children Hayley and Steve, Rodger their alien, and the once
human fish, Klaus. Also if you haven’t checked Rodger’s Instagram account you defiantly should.
It gives us our  and keep us strong
enough to make it to next Monday.

Despite
leaving Fox this year, the show has not faltered. In fact the new style of the
show allows for us to really appreciate the quality and brand of American Dad.
So what TBS is telling us is that they are with American Dad for the long haul.
Which we couldn’t be happier to hear.
