Surprise Box Office Hit ‘No Good Deed’ Coming to Blu-Ray DVD in January

Grossing some
$52.5 million against a very modest $13 million budget, it’s fair to say that the Idris
Elba/Taraji P. Henson thriller, “No Good Deed,” was a genuine late summer/early fall sleeper
box office hit.

Now Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has wasted to no time in announcing that the film will be
coming out on Blu-ray DVD on January 6th.

There
will be no actors or director’s commentary on the DVD, however there will be a few extras, including: a “Making a Thriller” featurette with producers Glenn S. Gainor and Will
Packer, director Sam Miller, Elba and Henson, as they discuss the process of
making a thriller, developing relatable characters, and incorporating exciting
action, while telling a real and raw story.

Also included: “The Thrill of a Good Fight,” in which the two lead actors “discuss the intense physicality of the fight sequences and what goes into
creating a thrilling fight;” and “Good Samaritan,” which will answer the
question that everyone who saw the film was asking, as Henson and the filmmakers discuss her character’s decision to help a stranger during the
night.
