Watch Chris Rock's Emphatic Recital of NWA's 'Gangsta Gangsta' for Charlie Rose in Redband 'Top Five' Clip

I could only imagine what must have been going through Charlie Rose’s mind, as they were shooting this scene. Or maybe nothing at all!

Next to “Selma,” Chris Rock’s latest, “Top Five,” is definitely another much-buzzed about “black film” this year, in release this month, also courtesy of Paramount Pictures.

Rated “R” by the MPAA for “strong sexual content, nudity, crude humor, language, and some drug use,” the film is now out in theaters, expanding this weekend, after a limited release, so more of you should be able to see it.

“Top Five” tells the story of New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen (Rock), whose unexpected encounter with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) forces him to confront the comedy career – and the past – that he’s left behind.

Joining Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson in front of the camera are, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, J.B. Smoove, Gabourey Sidibe, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, Jay Pharoah, Brian Regan and others.

The film is produced by Scott Rudin and Eli Bush.

Co-Producers are Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Kanye West; the Executive Music Producer is Questlove. Barry Diller and Scott Rudin’s IACF financed the film.

Check out the new clip below, in which Rock delivers, for Charlie Rose, lyrics from “Gangsta Gangsta” – a single from “Straight Outta Compton,” N.W.A’s breakout 1988 album:
