Berlin Will Open With Juliette Binoche Starrer 'Nobody Wants the Night'

Spanish filmmaker Isabel Coixet will premiere her latest film, “Nobody Wants the Night,” in the international competition at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 5.

“Nobody Wants the Night,” is a Spanish-French-Bulgarian co-production set in 1908, against the backdrop of the Arctic and Greenland. Juliette Binoche stars alongside Rinko Kikuchi and Gabriel Byrne in the film.

“Isabel Coixet has created an impressive and perceptive portrait of two women in extreme circumstances,” says Berlinale Director Dieter Kosslick. “It will thus be the first movie to be screened in Dolby Atmos in our Berlinale Palast.”

As previously announced, the festival will also host the premiere of Terrence Malick’s highly anticipated “Knight of Cups.”
