Fifteen years after it first hit screens to critical acclaim, the Coen Brothers‘ “Fargo” continues to resonate in new and exciting ways. It has been the inspiration for the hit FX series of the same name, produced by the Coens, and has also become entangled in a fascinating urban legend, one that has formed the foundation of “Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter.” And today, we have the exclusive poster for the film.
From Amplify and designed by Sam Smith AKA Sam’s Myth, this gorgeously illustrated one sheet captures the essence of the film with eye-popping clarity. Directed by the Zellner Brothers, executive produced by Alexander Payne, and starring Rinko Kikuchi, ‘Kumiko’ tells the darkly comic and strange tale of a young woman from Japan, who watches “Fargo” on VHS, believes it to be a documentary, and heads to wintry North Dakota to try and find the buried suitcase full of money, embarking on the most unlikely of journeys.
