Thoughts on Bill Duke's 'Light Girls' After Last Night's Premiere?

My cable TV provider doesn’t carry the OWN network, so I didn’t watch it last night. But I will eventually… somehow.

For those who did tune in, what did you make of “Light Girls,” Bill Duke’s follow-up to his acclaimed documentary, “Dark Girls,” which premiered last night, providing what the network promised would be an in-depth look into colorism and the untold stories of lighter-skinned women around the globe, exploring skin color from historical, sociological, psychological and scientific perspectives, providing a global analysis, addressing contemporary issues like bullying, skin bleaching, and the popular “#teamlightskin versus #teamdarkskin” that was born on social media.

So, did it deliver as promised? Did it tackle the question, “Does light skin make for an easier life?”

Enlighten those of us who weren’t able to watch…

No ratings info yet, but once I have those, I’ll update this post with the numbers.
