Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Oscar Isaac and Evan Peters are getting some company in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” with some younger versions of mutant favorites now joining the picture. We could type out a lot of words about it, or just let Bryan Singer tell you himself:

Meanwhile, franchise mainstays Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen expect to be on the sidelines this time, which makes sense given the timeline overhaul the series was given in “X-Men: Days Of Future Past.” “I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters,” Stewart recent told Larry King (via Variety). “And so I don’t think we’ll be making an appearance.”
So, there you go and just to recap in case you don’t read Twitter-ese: Tye Sheridan is Cyclops, Sophie Turner is Jean Grey and Alexandra Shipp is Storm in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” See you in cinemas on May 27, 2016.
