Watch: Danny Boyle's 'Babylon' Features James Nesbitt's Best Malcolm Tucker Insults

There are moments in Danny Boyle’s upcoming series “Babylon,” set to premiere Thursday, January 8 on SundanceTV, that feel like they’re pulled straight from today’s headlines. Then there are others that feel tugged from Armando Iannucci’s political satire “In the Loop.”

One of the latter moments can be seen below, as series star James Nesbitt (“The Missing”) tears into an insubordinate officer like you’ve never seen before. Well, maybe you’ve seen something like it when you watched Peter Capaldi hurl Iannucci’s insults like molotov cocktails. But Nesbitt’s specificity and thoroughness is what sets him — and “Babylon” — apart.

“Babylon” follows a troubled London police force which hires a new PR agent to try to set relations right with the public. Starring Brit Marling and Nesbitt, the series was co-created by Oscar winner Danny Boyle and Robert Jones. The six-episode series debuts its first hour this Thursday.

Take a look at the clip below.
