Watch: David O. Russell's Abandoned 'Nailed' Renamed to 'Accidental Love'

For many people in this country, the inability to afford healthcare is no laughing matter. That hasn’t stopped director David O. Russell from trying to make it funny in “Accidental Love.”
As you may recall, the Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle used to be called “Nailed,” but went through quite a few production trials and tribulations. As The Playlist reports, “Way back in 2008 the troubled production was essentially a stop-and-start affair. Producers struggled to keep the movie financed, filming was stopped one day before schedule and before Russell could film the crucial scene he needed to tie it all together. But that hasn’t stopped Millennium Entertainment from trying to make this work — they’ve put the movie back together again and are bringing it to theaters.”
Biel stars as a waitress with a nail stuck in her head with Gyllenhaal playing the incompetent politician who decides to take on her healthcare crisis. Together, the two find… “Accidental Love.” (Sorry for that. We prefer “Nailed” too. It gets even worse in the UK, where the film is called “The Politics of Love.”)
The film hits VOD on February 10, right before Valentine’s Day. So, there’s a date movie in here somewhere. A theatrical release is set for March 20. Check out the trailer below:
