ARC Entertainment has acquired exclusive North American rights to “The Squeeze,” a thriller that marries the well-loved hobbies of golf and gambling.
Written and directed by Terry Jastrow, “The Squeeze” follows a gambler who stumbles upon a world-class golfer living in a small town. He convinces his new friend to take his high-flying dreams and trade them in for high-stakes matches. Then things start to get ugly. The thriller stars Jeremy Sumpter, Christopher McDonald, Katherine LaNasa, Jillian Murray and Jason Dohring.
Golfers and gambling experts alike were quick to sing the film’s praises: Pro golfer Phil Mickelson said, “‘The Squeeze’ is a wonderful golf movie because it’s so authentic,” while Steve Wynn (chairman of Wynn Resorts) said, “If you like gambling, golf, and Las Vegas, you’ll love this movie.”
ARC Entertainment Head of Acquisitions Scott Moestra added, “Terry Jastrow and the cast did a fantastic job with this film and it will keep the audiences on the edge of their seats.”
“The Squeeze” will be released on premium VOD and in select markets in the U.S. April 17th, 2015.
