Lantica Media, formerly known as Indomina, has partnered up with Relativity Studios to co-finance and co-produce a new thriller titled “Our Father,” from Caymanian independent filmmaker Frank E. Flowers, as part of an overall deal that will see the production of feature films with budgets of up to $80 million.
“Our Father” will tell that tale of a hard-nosed FBI Special Agent, with a drug problem, who is removed from his position, and forced to instead take a desk job, training much younger recruits. Of course that doesn’t last long; He eventually defies his superiors and returns to streets, when he finds out he has a 17-year-old bi-racial son in trouble, and vows to save him.
Shooting is set to take place in the Dominican Republic at Lantica-owned Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios.
Frank E. Flowers’ resume includes a 2004 crime drama titled “Haven,” which starred Orlando Bloom, Zoe Saldana, Anthony Mackie, Joy Bryant, Bill Paxton, and others. He also directed several episodes of Vin Diesel’s bouncer web series “The Ropes,” a few years ago.
