This weekend, an erotic bestseller-turned-blockbuster-movie, “Fifty Shades Of Grey,” hits cinemas everywhere. The film required a certain willingness on the parts of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan to submit themselves physically and emotionally to a movie that’s very much about trust and power in the bedroom. The making of the movie has already spurred chatter about on-set battles and a frosty relationship between the two leads, and the perfectly timed “The Dramatics (A Comedy)” uses that kind of behind-the-scenes insight to tell a unique story.
Directed by Scott Rodgers, and starring Pablo Schreiber, Sean Astin, Kat Foster, and Riki Lindhom, the tale revolves around an out-of-work actress who gets the starring role in a sexually explicit mini-series based on an erotic bestseller (sound familiar?). But her supportive boyfriend has his patience tried when her Oscar-winning co-lead takes the rehearsal process too far. As you’ll see in this clip, boyfriend doesn’t do so well when he learns of his girlfriend’s past encounters.
“The Dramatics (A Comedy)” arrives on VOD today. Watch below.
