Fox has ordered what the network is calling a test run for a talk show from couple, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, titled “The Boris and Nicole Show,” which will debut on July 6, and run for 4 weeks.
“We met and fell in love on screen so any time we get to work together we know it will be a lot of fun,” said Kodjoe in a statement.
“There are so many things that we are passionate about so we are thrilled that we will now have a platform to share these issues with an audience,” added Parker.
The hour-long program, which will air on select Fox-owned stations in several markets, including New York and Los Angeles, will offer the couple’s take on everything from current events, to parenting, and relationships. The show will also feature from celebrity guests.
Kodjoe and Parker will serve as co-executive producers under Kirschbaum Productions.
Obviously, if the show proves to have an audience, Fox will likely order more episodes. And if that happens, the couple will join an already crowded and competitive daytime talk show space – each fighting to stay relevant amid a continuously evolving TV landscape.
Summer has apparently become something of a testing ground for new series.
