Luxor African Film Festival & Pan-African Festival (FESPACO) Ink New Event Partnership

The Pan-African Festival of Cinema and Television of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) and the Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) in Egypt, have partnered up, signing an agreement to collaborate on future events, starting with the announcement that Burkina Faso (where FESPACO is held) will be the “guest of honor” at the next installment of the LAFF, as will Egypt be the guest of honor for FESPACO this year – a first for the festival.

Further details on this new partnership have yet to be fully revealed – other than the above., so stay tuned.

Among the most important and oldest of African festivals around the world, The 24th edition of the Pan-African Film & TV Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) will run from February 28 to March 7, 2015, with “African Cinema: Production and Distribution in the Digital Era” as this edition’s theme.

The much younger Luxor African Film Festival in Cairo, Egypt (now in its 4th year), runs from March 16-21, 2015, honoring the late Egyptian actor, Khaled Saleh, who died in 2014.
