Sundance Sex Comedy 'Sleeping With Other People' Goes to IFC

IFC has taken North American rights to “Sleeping with Other People,” starring Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie, two weeks after its buzzy Sundance premiere. This sex comedy was clearly one of the more commercial films at the festival, with a rumored six suitors chasing the film including Radius-TWC, who made Headland’s 2012 “Bachelorette” a VOD hit.

Sudeikis, playing a womanizer, and Brie, a serial cheater, meet in a sex addicts’ anonymous meeting, forming a friendship and attraction. The film costars Amanda Peet, Natasha Lyonne and Adam Scott. Reviews and word-of-mouth for the racy film, snapped up for seven figures, were strong in Park City.

IFC is eyeing a wide theatrical release.
