Watch: An Orthodox Jewish Woman Ventures into the Secular World in 'Felix & Meira'

A young woman searches for herself in the Canadian drama “Felix & Meira.”

The TIFF favorite stars Hadas Yaron as Meira, an Orthodox Jewish woman in Montreal who seeks an escape from her loveless marriage and the narrow confines of her religious community. Her small rebellions lead her to Felix, a non-Hasidic man grieving the death of his father, and the two eventually fall for each other. Meira must then choose between the only life she’s known and giving up everything, including her daughter, for a new beginning.

“Felix & Meira” opens April 17, 2015 in NY and April 24 in LA.
