Watch: Russell T Davies' Dramas 'Cucumber'/'Banana' to Premiere After 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

“Queer as Folk” fans, you’re in luck — Russell T Davies’ (“Doctor Who”) highly anticipated new interconnected dramas “Cucumber” and “Banana” will premiere March 2 on Logo, following the premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
The two interwoven drama series will explore the lives of 21st century gay life in Manchester, England. The hour long “Cucumber” follows Henry Best (Vincent Franklin) and his boyfriend of nine years, Lance Sullivan (Cyril Nri), while the half-hour long “Banana” follows the lives of the younger characters in Henry’s world.
In this clip from “Banana,” we see one of the characters, Dean (Fisayo Akinade), experience something we’ve all done, whether we care to admit it or not: seeing an attractive stranger on public transport and promptly fantasizing about a life together.
“Cucumber” and “Banana” also stars Julie Hesmondhalgh (“Coronation Street”), Freddie Fox (“Pride”), James Murray (“Defiance”), Andrew Hayden-Smith (“Doctor”), Letita Wright (“Top Boy”), Georgia Henshaw (“Waterloo Road”), Luke Newberry (“In The Flesh”) and comedian Bethany Black.
