Attention Documentary Filmmakers and Transmedia Artists: Apply to the POV Hackathon

Calling all documentary filmmakers, transmedia artists, web developers and multimedia journalists: the deadline for POV Hackathon 8 is coming up soon (Friday, March 6 at midnight ET). POV Hackathon is a weekend laboratory providing matchmaking and mentorship for participants to create prototypes that re-invent the documentary form for the web.

Participants work side-by-side with other media makers on an interactive prototype over the course of a weekend. Past projects have premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and New York Film Festival, and include the likes of “Empire,” “The Whiteness Project” and “Living Los Sures.”

The POV Hackathon takes place at the Made in NY Media Center April 4-5. To apply and for more information, click here.

Tickets are now available for the public screening of POV Hackathon 8 projects. The screening takes place at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP on April 5 at 7 pm.
