Richard Armstrong, Director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, announced today the appointment of Sarah Eaton as Director of Media and Public Relations.
Eaton will oversee the planning and implementation of strategic media relations, communications and other outreach efforts for the Museum and Foundation.
Eaton most recently served as Director of Media Relations at Sundance Institute. During her time there, she was responsible for publicity, social media and strategic messaging for the Institute’s full range of initiatives, including the annual Sundance Film Festival, Sundance London, Sundance Film Festival—Hong Kong Selects and Sundance NEXT FEST in Los Angeles. Previously, Eaton was Senior Vice President of Communications for Sundance Channel (now SundanceTV).
“Sarah comes to the Guggenheim with a rich and deep background in the communication of ideas across media and cultures,” said Armstrong in a statement. “She will play a key role in amplifying and enriching how we communicate our exploration of modern and contemporary art, and how we engage with audiences locally and globally.”
