Next Monday, March 30th, marks the official debut of Disney XD’s latest series, Daron Nefcy’s Star vs. The Forces of Evil. The show starts off with several things in its favor – it was already renewed for a second season before its premiere, and it’s already a bonafide hit with the fans.
Marc Buhaj, Disney XD’s Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, says, “We’ve seen an
instant connection across social media to Daron’s characters Star and
Marco, a pair who brings their own unique voice to Disney XD.
Since previewing the series’ opening title at last year’s Comic-Con,
hundreds of fan art pieces have been generated before the show
has even premiered.”
In the exclusive video below, creator Nefcy discusses the overwhelming fan art and fan support that has been created since the show’s theme song was sneaked at Comic-Con 2014.
The series follows fiercely awesome teen princess, Star Butterfly. After receiving an all-powerful magic wand for her 14th birthday, Star is sent by her Royal Parents to live with the Diaz family on Earth, bringing along her own unique inter-dimensional style to her new home.
